WIAW – Snowed in and eating the day away!

Hello my dears!
How are you? If you’re a New Englander, I can probably guess: snowed in??
If you’re not, well, you could be just about anything anything!!

Right now, snow is falling and it’s clear that we are going to be hunkered down for the day, and maybe the next day, too!

Unfortunately or fortunately, depending how you look at it, I work from home so the weather doesn’t affect my ability to go into work. I used to loveeee snow days as a student and a teacher, and while they sure are cozy still, it’s not quite the same as the excitement of a day off due to too much snow!

One of my favorite things to do when stuck inside though, is EAT!

Breakfast

PB Banana Overnight Oats + coffee!!


So good – only a crazy New Englander would eat a cold breakfast in the middle of a snowstorm!

After teaching a couple of classes and taking the pups out to play in the snow, I was ready for more food!

Lunch:

My new fave! An egg, coupla whites, veggies, tortilla, and cheese all mixed up together. It’s sooooo good!!

The afternoon was filled with more teaching and a total body workout (Body Beast). This winter I am so thankful for home workout programs! Total lifesaver. Along the way I munched on half a cinnamon raisin English muffin and some carrots and hummus.

Before I knew it it was time to eat again! Dinner was super simple and incredibly delish. Sometimes the easiest simplest meals end up being the most satisfying!!

Dinner:
Salmon, asparagus, green beans, and roasted sweets and red potatoes.

I was obsessed with this meal!
But I didn’t stop there, oh no.

I finally got to the important task of curling up on my couch and watching TV. A few episodes into Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce (anyone watch) it was time for dessert!

Dessert:
Fat free cottage cheese with frozen berries.

Oh, and some peanut butter snuck onto my spoon!

All in all today was really yummy. I enjoyed every bite and also stuck to my macros! Win!

    We were supposed to have a measly two-inches of snow, but in the end had nothing! Those food pics look awesome. I can’t get into cottage cheese, though….maybe it’s the texture? I can’t stop enjoying frozen banana “ice cream” after dinners. Helps me stay away from my rich-creamy-ice cream cravings hehe!

    Good luck with the snow! I kind of wish we’d get some… but it’s such a pain after the first day. At least you’re eating well!

    Thankfully that storm missed us here in MI, we have been lucky this winter *knock on wood*

    I love home workouts, with 4 kids, it’s the only way I’m guaranteed to get a workout 🙂
