Happy Wednesday! How’s the week going?
Mine has been a happy one, and I’m so glad you enjoyed Monday’s post on how to be the happiest and healthiest YOU.
So far this week, I’ve practiced what I preached there and worked out first thing in the morning. I’m starting to feel back in a routine after the past few weeks of moving and heading back to NH to hang out with family. I love you, fam, but need to stay put for a while!
Today’s workout came together because as much as I love to run, it doesn’t do it all for me. I want to be strong and reap all the benefits of strength training as well! Anyone else get stuck in cardio zone and craving some muscle action? Since I’m training for a half right now, I’m running lots, but I’ve made sure to work in some bodyweight and strength exercises into my routine. (I’m wanting to focus on this aspect more and more and I’m actually starting Body Beast – time to get jacked! More on that to come soon.) But, in the meantime, I want something efficient that I can weave into my training.
With that said…here’s a good one for when you wanna work the miles and those muscles for an overall total body cardio and strength workout!
Not a runner? No worries – you can walk, bike, hop, skip, or jump a mile, as well!
It’s important to incorporate variety into your exercise program! Sometimes when I go out for a run I get stuck thinking that I am “only” going to run – but there’s no reason not to perform moves like these along the way to kick things up a notch and get a dynamic workout!
Hope you like it!
