What My Week of Workouts Looks Like

Hey there! Happy Monday!

How was the weekend? As I mentioned last week, our “weekend” is actually Sun/Mon/Tues, so we’re in the glorious midst of ours right now. I’d been looking forward to these few days because they’re full of fun stuff! We drove home to New Hampshire on Sunday so that I could make it to one of my best friend’s baby showers! She’s expecting TWIN BOYS in June and I’m so happy for her. Today is all about the wedding! We have a cake testing and a food testing. (Cake is first, ha!) Then, guess what? 80 minute massages! You guys, this is major. These are long overdue, especially for Dan, who has some lower back problems from wearing heavy military and law enforcement equipment just about 24/7 for the past 13 years!

Also, we’ve been working out pretty hard, so our muscles are in need of some love. I thought I’d share with you what a typical week of workouts looks like lately. I designed our schedule to incorporate lifting, steady state running, and some interval/HIIT running and drills. All in all it’s a pretty good balance, although I’d like to see our runs get longer!

At the end of the post, I’d love it if you check out a few quick questions I have for you about the workouts and answer in the comments!

Run and Shoulders

Run and Back/Bi’s

HIIT cardio and Total Body Circuit + Tabatas

Shake out run and Chest/Tri’s

HIIT cardio and Total Body Circuit + Tabatas

My favorite days are the total body days – and when it’s nice running weather! But I also love lifting legs and shoulders…heck, I love all of it, what can I say.

Of course things come up and we might take two rest days or shift things around here and there, but for the most part, we’ve been sticking to it!

OK, now here’s where you come in:

1) What questions do you have about my workouts? I want to put together a Q&A post to make sure that I’m sharing information that YOU want to know!

2) Workout Wednesday is coming up! What type of workout would you like to see here?

3) Nix all of the above and just share pics of wedding cake and food?

Hope you have a great day, friends!

I’d love to see your specific workouts for each body area, and what you do on total body days! Also some of your favorite pre workout foods and what you have right after lifting.

My favorite workouts are ones that can be done at home with no or little equipment. Also workouts that focus on specific body parts would be awesome too.
