Hello dear friends!
I’m back from Europe and the crazy busy couple of weeks that followed! I’ve missed you and I hope you missed me too.
So…since we last spoke, I went to Europe for 17 days, have logged many hours of work, went to NH, attended a wedding, gave an intro to fitness and nutrition presentation to Dan’s military unit, started training for another half marathon…and am heading back to NH this weekend for my bridal shower and sister’s birthday celebration!
All this and planning a wedding that’s just shy of two months away! I feel lucky to have such great things going on right now, even if things are a little overcrowded!
There’s so much to tell you about Europe, but I thought I’d start by showing you some of the EATS I enjoyed on this trip. In each country we visited, I made sure to try and eat like a local whenever possible! Since breakfast was at the hotel and dinner was planned by the company, lunch was our opportunity to get out on the streets and sample local cuisine! I took full advantage! I don’t even typically like these things, but something about being in Europe won them over for me!
The best macaroons in all of Paris!
Spaetzle in Mutzig, France! This region had been part of Germany in the past so it has a heavy German influence! These doughy little wonders were so good!
Fruits and veggies in London! Although from a chain, this meal was so needed! I was craving some fresh and light fare!
I tried my first ever sausage in Austria (NOT kosher!) with German potato salad. It was good while it lasted but definitely a one time thing!
Ate the heck out of this pretzel in Germany!
…And washed it down with this German beer!!!
One of my favorite meals ever – street food eaten on a bridge in Venice. This food was incredible! And yes, I ate it all!
I just had to pick up a Bellini to go and enjoy it alongside a canal! I saved this bottle because I loved it so much!
I definitely indulged while abroad, but maintained some balance by being choosy about what I went for and also…we walked NONSTOP! There’s no denying through, that this trip was without a doubt one of the most delicious experiences I’ve had yet!
